2. Anchor date and due-date calculation
The anchor is the filing date. Renewal falls due on its tenth anniversary, with the window opening six months earlier.

3. The renewal window
- The window opens six months before expiry.
- Renewal completes on payment and requires no proof of use.
- Foreign proprietors proceed through a local agent.
- Where Türkiye is designated through an international registration, renewal goes to WIPO.
- Classes may be dropped at renewal, though because the fee is flat up to a certain number of classes, dropping one may not reduce the amount immediately.

5. Lapse and restoration
After the six-month grace period the right lapses and no procedure revives it; only refiling remains.

7. Management checklist
- The filing date, from which expiry is derived.
- Recheck the current fee schedule immediately before payment, since it rises annually.
- For cases in grace, use the grace schedule directly rather than adding a surcharge.
- The class count, bearing in mind that the flat band means dropping a class may not reduce the amount.
- Whether the case is a direct filing or a Madrid designation, since designations renew at WIPO.
- There is no restoration, so do not plan around the grace period.
