Israel Patent Annuities: Management Manual

The table below is as at 2026 (ILS). Fees are index-adjusted annually, so confirm the rate at the time of payment.

To year 206,725
Full term in one payment14,410

Paying all five blocks separately totals 17,292, against 14,410 for full-term prepayment. Where a case is certain to be maintained to the end, prepayment is also the cheaper option.

8. Term extension

Term extension in Israel has not been researched. If it becomes relevant on a pharmaceutical case, confirm with the local agent.

9. Management checklist

  1. Filing date and grant date. Only the first block runs from grant; the rest run from filing.
  2. Whether the term has been prepaid in full — record it as a state, or later management goes wrong.
  3. On notice of grant, calculate the first block immediately; the longer the pendency, the larger it is.
  4. Do not build an annual schedule. There are only five deadlines.
  5. Leave the reduction field empty — renewal fees carry no discount.

Sources, cut-off date and disclaimer

This manual is based on iphere's August 2026 survey of country-by-country overseas maintenance rules, together with values produced by the deadline engine that runs on those same rules. Official fees and deadline rules change by office notice, so please confirm against the official source and your local agent before any actual payment or filing.
